Stevie and guide just at the summit of Phu Kradung.  We were really stupid.  Had no idea it was such a hideous 6 hour climb through infested jungle.  Had a very large cobra cross the path in front of us, then confronted a machine gun toting VC complete with boots and black pajamas.  I suspect they have a taboo about shooting crazy people, as he just stared at us.  I didn't look much better than Stevie and I was carrying that suitcase up the ungle trail.  I don't think either of us appeared to be much of a threat.
